Boredom Strikes!!!
I am absoloutely bored to the bark. Luckily God has blessed me with a precious Library Card. I am almost done with Shadow of the Hegemon. I finished Valiant and enjoyed it very much. I am not that much of a fan of tales of Planetary Colonies and Aliens. In response to this inner feeling I persued the sequals of Ender's Shadow. Those books are about Bean and his friends after the War. I amazed at how much I have enjoyed the Shadow of the Hegemon. It is intense in its one way that I can not explain. I find interesting because of its ability to make some things believable. I look forward to reading Shadow Puppets and Shadow of the Giant. The Shadow of the Giant was origonally going to be named either The Shadow of Death or the extended version The Vally of the Shaddow of Death. I am guesing the extensionversion that shows more semblence to the 23rd Psalms counterpart was turned down by his Editor for that reason. The Title like Ender's Shadow's origonal Title: Urchin was not used because their lack marketability. Orson and I disagree with his editor.
Like I know him!
Look at all the authors whose Titles were named against their own opinion: J.R.R Tolkien's The Return of the King ( he prefered the War of the Ring because it did not give away the story), Charles Shultz's Peanuts (he never liked the idea, it didn't have to do with the story or charechters. He like Lil' Children and Charlie Brown as better alternatives). (I know Peanuts was not a book but it is an example of an autor for he wrote the comic strips.) Those are just two cases I can name off the tip of tongue. It just seems that Author's and Editor's have struggled for some time.
